Commercial HVAC Sales Manager, Madison WI

Scope of Position

The commercial sales position is responsible for establishing the commercial sales targets to meet Temperature Systems Inc. objectives. Responsible for developing strategic sales plans based on TSI goals that will promote sales growth and customer satisfaction for the organization.

Reports directly to the Director of Sales. Ensures efficient, effective and productive operations for commercial sales engineers, estimators and commercial sales support teams. Responsible for supervision, direction, and corrective action, as required, to achieve desired objectives. .

Essential Functions

  1. Design and develop sales plans in conjunction with performance reviews to achieve commercial & controls sales goals for the sales engineer’s, territory managers and controls departments.
  2. Monitor sales of all product lines and pricing including Carrier, Sterling and Applied Air.
  3. Develop markets within the commercial division including, plan & spec., replacement, design-build, industrial and institutional.
  4. Training for all new and existing commercial personnel, & TM’s on Commercial Products.
  5. Attend all required sales and engineering meetings on a national level as required.
  6. Integrate all company policies equally in both Green Bay and Madison.
  7. Develop a relationship with specifying agencies to include the major products and manufacturers represented by TSI.
  8. Promote the sale of rotary products in the major markets covered by TSI.
  9. Work in conjunction with your team to increase sales, and assist in closing more projects.
  10. Establish inventory levels with purchasing of products stocked in our facilities.
  11. Promotes and maintains a flexible cooperative, positive, team oriented attitude with and between departments and end users.
  12. Ensures timely, accurate, proper records, files, data bases, etc. are developed and maintained for assigned areas of responsibility.
  13. Open and willing to perform other duties as needed.

Position Requirements / Skills

  1. Bachelor degree in business, engineering, or similar, with 5 years of progressive sales experience, or equivalent.
  2. Strong interpersonal and persuasive skills.
  3. Strong background in engineered systems.
  4. Excellent communication skills including written, verbal and negotiation.
  5. Good attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  6. Proficient PC skills with ability to use various software systems including Microsoft Office products.
  7. Maintain a valid driver license.

Equipment / Tools Operated

Proficient skill in operation of standard office equipment.
