Director of Operations - Madison

Basic Function

Reporting directly to the CEO, ensures efficient, effective and productive operations of the warehouse, purchasing, service, inside sales, warranty, and information technology departments. Responsible for supervision, direction, and corrective action, as required, to achieve desired objectives.

Essential Functions

  1. Evaluate, challenge, and provide support to ensure effective and efficient teams.
  2. Serves on the senior management team of TSI and is responsible for implementation and enforcement of company policies.
  3. Coordinates communication of overseeing departments between all facets of TSI, both internal and external.
  4. Facilitates departmental staffing, training, development and performance evaluations.
  5. Responsible for purchasing and maintaining all warehouse equipment and vehicles including licensing, registration, accident reporting, and drug testing to ensure compliance with all applicable local, state and federal requirements.
  6. Direct technical services advisors to provide a high level of customer service and quality technical training for products that we represent.
  7. Promotes and maintains a flexible, cooperative, positive, team oriented attitude with and between departments and end users.
  8. Ensures timely, accurate, proper records, files, data bases, etc. are developed and maintained for assigned areas of responsibility.
  9. Open and willing to perform other duties as needed.

Position Requirements / Skills

  1. A minimum of five years of progressive experience in Operations Management or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Bachelors or Master’s degree in Business, Management, or Business Operations preferred.
  2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present strategy and results to staff and maintain a professional business image and relationships.
  3. Self-starter with a results oriented and metric driven performance.
  4. Excellent organizational skills with ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects.
  5. Able to travel to all locations on a regular basis..

Equipment / Tools Operated

Proficient skill in operation of standard office equipment such as fax, multi-phone line equipment, PC and their related equipment, copy machine, calculator, printers, and mail related equipment. Able to use basic PC related tools.
