Territory Manager - Residential Sales

SCOPE OF POSITION

With the guidance of the Residential Sales Manager, the TSI Territory Manager assumes full responsibility for HVAC Contractor sales including, but not limited to, equipment brands and support products.

Essential Function

  1. To Be… Punctual, cooperative, dependable and able to take direction.
  2. Demonstrates an understanding of basic HVAC accounting principles and proficiency in company provided tools such as financial leadership software programs.
  3. Has a complete knowledge of all assigned product lines.
  4. Understands the dynamics of HVAC distribution such as the benefits of dealer and distributor inventories, logistics of product distribution, etc.
  5. Assists the dealer to maintain profitability and continuously looks for new product and marketing ideas for them.
  6. Provides competitive product, program and pricing information as requested by Temperature Systems management.
  7. Effectively demonstrates the ability to analyze individual markets in assigned territories to identify sales opportunities and market penetration.
  8. Maintains direct personal contact with all assigned accounts and responds in a timely (24 hours or less) manner to all requests for information, projects quotations.
  9. Assisting assigned accounts with business planning, credits and collections, participation in the TSI and supplier programs.
  10. Open and willing to perform other duties as needed.

Position Requirements / Skills

  1. 3- 5 years’ experience in HVAC contracting, technical sales or support.
  2. Excellent skills in organization, detail orientation, analytical, clerical and follow through.
  3. Solid understanding of the company’s sales function, related services and product lines.
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  5. Proficient PC and related spreadsheet and software applications.
  6. Be a self-starter and posses the ability to work with limited supervision.
  7. Able to juggle multiple priorities in a fast paced environment while maintaining a positive pro-active customer service approach.
  8. Valid driver’s license.

Equipment / Tools Operated

Proficient skill in operation of standard office equipment such as fax, multi-phone line equipment, PC and their related equipment, copy machine, calculator, printers, mail related equipment. Able to use basic PC related tools.
