Commercial Sales Support Specialist- Madison or Green Bay

Scope of Position

Reporting to the Commercial Sales Manager, provides support to Commercial Sales team members. Including conducting estimating, developing plan and spec quotes for customers, processing orders and assisting with sales.

Essential Functions

  1. To Be… Punctual, cooperative, dependable and able to take direction.
  2. Responsible for all aspects of customer support for Commercial products. Build relationships with the usage of commercial product and application experience by understanding market and HVAC trends.
  3. Execute customer contact and relationship growth, presentation, order processing, communication management, documentation, and reporting. Work with the sales support teams to develop quotes and proposals.
  4. Cultivate customer relationships with Account Managers on design-build, replacement, plan, and spec contractors.
  5. Performs sales tracking activities such as maintaining sales files, filing shipping acknowledgements, scanning files and date tracking.
  6. Ensure that shop drawings and other technical data is maintained, completed and forwarded to clients.
  7. Assist the Plan and Spec estimator as needed on Plan and spec (P&S) projects. Provide pre and post bid competitive data, scope of BOM and contractor input for P&S projects to increase closure ratio.
  8. Promotes and maintains a flexible cooperative, positive, team oriented attitude with and between departments and end users.
  9. Ensures timely, accurate, proper records, files, data bases, etc. are developed and maintained for assigned areas of responsibility.
  10. Open and willing to perform other duties as needed.

Position Requirements / Skills

  1. 2 years HVAC experience. Estimating, contracting, project management, HVAC technical sales or support.
  2. Excellent skills in organization, detail orientation, analytical, clerical and follow through.
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  4. Proficient PC and related spreadsheet and software applications.
  5. Be a self-starter and possess the ability to work with limited supervision.
  6. Able to juggle multiple priorities in a fast paced environment while maintaining a positive pro-active customer service approach.

Equipment / Tools Operated

Proficient skill in operation of standard office equipment such as fax, multi-phone line equipment, PC and their related equipment, copy machine, calculator, printers, mail related equipment. Able to use basic PC related tools.
