General Manager - Green Bay  

Scope of Position

Reporting directly to the Director of Operations. Responsible for warehouse, inside sales, warranty and office administrative staff. Principle contact with the Union in the facility.

Basic Function

Ensures efficient, effective and productive operations within the Green Bay facility. Responsible for supervision, direction, and corrective action, as required, to achieve desired goals objectives.

Essential Functions

  1. Leads and mentors administration, warehouse, inside sales and warranty departments.
  2. Ability to serve as a backup to staff in all assigned departments.
  3. Evaluate, challenge, and provide support to ensure effective and efficient teams.
  4. Is responsible for implementation and enforcement of company policies.
  5. Facilitates departmental staffing, training, development and performance evaluations.
  6. Responsible for purchasing and maintaining all equipment and vehicles including licensing, registration, accident reporting, and drug testing to ensure compliance with all applicable local, state and federal requirements.
  7. Represent company in grievance meetings, contract negotiations and other labor relations activities.
  8. Resolve discrepancies regarding inventory, damaged goods and inbound freight.
  9. Oversee maintenance of all equipment and facility maintenance.
  10. Promotes and maintains a flexible cooperative, positive, team oriented attitude with and between departments and end users.
  11. Ensures timely, accurate, proper records, files, databases, etc. are developed and maintained for areas of responsibility.
  12. Open and willing to perform other duties as needed.

Position Requirements / Skills

  1. 1. A minimum of five years of progressive experience in general management or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Bachelors or Master’s degree in Business or Management preferred.
  2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present strategy and results to staff and maintain a professional business image and relationships.
  3. Good leadership, administrative, customer service and supervisory skills.
  4. Working knowledge of human resources and transportation, trucking, routings etc. a plus.
  5. Valid WI driver’s license.

Equipment / Tools Operated

Proficient skill in operation of standard office equipment such as fax, multi-phone line equipment, PC and their related equipment, copy machine, calculator, printers, mail related equipment. Able to use basic PC related tools.
