2nd Shift Warehouse Team Member - Madison, WI
Scope of Position
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, loads and unloads trucks and performs other warehouse related activities as required.
Basic Function
Performs loading and unloading of product in a safe, efficient, effective, accurate and timely manner in order to meet the customer’s needs.
Essential Functions
- Select orders manually and by forklift.
- Load and unload trucks manually and by forklift.
- Electronically scans product and puts product in proper bin location.
- Package and ship items for UPS.
- Backup receiving functions.
- Maintain good housekeeping in warehouse (sweeping, etc.).
- Stock shelves with incoming product.
- Perform cycle count and forward any inventory discrepancies to warehouse manager.
- Promotes and maintains a flexible cooperative, positive, team oriented attitude with and between departments and end users.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements / Skills
- High School diploma and 3 years of warehouse experience.
- Attention to detail, and basic math skills.
- Computer skills and bar code scanning experience a plus.
- Must be a self-starter and work effectively in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to operate a variety of material handling equipment.
- Knowledge of warehousing or dock procedures a plus.
- Work as a team member in a safe manner.
Equipment / Tools Operated
Proficient skill in operation of standard warehouse equipment such as forklifts, scanners, and PC as well as related software.
